The compact cabinet construction of the DALI MENUET optimizes the volume of the cabinet, and the round shapes creates the perfect finish.

In spite of the compact size, the DALI MENUET is produced with an oversized dome tweeter creating a perfect fusion with the woofer.

The low loss woofer is fitted with an extra-strong magnet system enabling the woofer to create a huge sound performance.

It is with great pleasure that we introduce you to the DALI MENUET - a small, yet powerful loudspeaker that reveals great musicality that will set new standards for sound and performance from a compact speaker.  Conceptually, DALI MENUET is a compact bass reflex loudspeaker measuring only 25 x 15 x 23 cm/9.8 x 5.9 x 9.0”. Even though it is only based on a 4.5” woofer and a 28 mm/1.1” soft dome it more than makes the grade. Listen to these brilliant tiny loudspeakers and you will hear plenty of clean, undistorted bass, open and dynamic midrange and detailed/crisp highs.  For optimum performance, DALI MENUET should be positioned in a bookshelf or mounted on the wall using an optional wall bracket. With two threaded inserts on the rear of the cabinet, it is prepared for easy installation of the wall bracket without any hassle. The bracket is designed to ensure optimal clearance between the wall and the bass reflex port.  The neat and clean design - makes it very easy to place the tiny DALI MENUET anywhere around the house. Alternatively, combine them with other speakers in the acclaimed RUBICON series for a high-performance stereo set-up or home cinema system. Either way, you’re in for an experience.

The 4.5” woofer is airflow optimized to achieve the best possible coupling between the wood fiber cone and the real wood veneer cabinet. Even the woofer cut-out in the cabinet is made larger than normal to optimise openness and dynamic response. The oversized 28 mm/1.1” soft dome tweeter is able to start and stop with great speed and precision due to the very low mass of the dome assembly and a powerful motor system (the dome is approximately 30% lighter than comparable standard domes and the magnet in the motor system is made of the strongest neodymium material available). The DALI designed drivers, sturdy binding posts and high quality crossover is the key to achieving extraordinary performance from such a compact loudspeaker.

The DALI KATCH G2 is a portable loudspeaker and will be used in a large variety of situations. With its two different audio profiles, you can choose between a neutral frequency response, perfect for most listening situations, or a warmer response that will work perfectly in larger rooms or when the music needs just that little extra.

We have also improved the rubber feet, making sure that the DALI KATCH G2 will stick to the surface without loosing its grip.

Getting music to the DALI KATCH G2 is as easy as making a Bluetooth connection. Connect traditionally or use NFC for a quick effortless connection. The built-in Bluetooth 5.0 receiver will accept apt-X, apt-X HD and AAC connections if the source device is capable.

As an alternative, the DALI KATCH G2 has a 3.5mm stereo mini-jack input, making it easy to connect non-Bluetooth devices. The mini-jack input is auto-sensing, eliminating the need for additional button presses to play music. Pressing the Bluetooth button with the mini-jack connected will allow you to toggle between the mini-jack input and Bluetooth

Next to the mini-jack input is a USB charge connector and the power connector. The USB charge connector allows you to charge your music device when on the move, but also to drive a Chromecast Audio dongle or Amazon Echo for easy home network integration.

The internal Li-Ion battery has a total capacity of 3300 mAh, letting the DALI KATCH G2 play at normal volume for a long as 30 hours. The battery is replaceable and is manufactured by a quality battery brand manufacturer for the best possible stamina. Charge time is a little over 2 hours with the supplied charger.

Powering the DALI KATCH through the mains charger will enable it to play louder and with more energy. This can be recommended for optimal performance when playing loud party music.

The dedicated USB-out adds the possibility to charge your phone while on the move.

Based on a very strong neodymium magnet, the 21 mm light-weight soft dome takes up very little cabinet space while retaining a large membrane area. Both factors are extremely important in the DALI KATCH G2. The compactness of the treble driver leaves more space for the bass drivers.

The large surface area of the soft-dome ensures better downward reach into the mid-range frequencies without any break-up or drop-off and integrates seamlessly with the woofer in the all-important mid-range. The strong neodymium magnet delivers high power handling and high sensitivity to the soft dome tweeter, with a detailed, accurate and agile high-frequency reproduction as the result.

Designing a bass mid-range woofer with a long excursion in a shallow cabinet sounds like a contradiction in terms. Nonetheless, this was the task of the acoustics team. Using an unconventionally designed chassis, inverted membrane and special spider suspension, we managed to get the same maximum excursion as a similar-sized traditional woofer.

Every extra millimeter gained in internal depth is turned into true low-frequency reproduction, letting the woofer generate bass with only slight help from the DSP. Despite the limited baffle surface area, the woofer membrane is a relatively large 3.5”. The outward turned cone is constructed from an aluminum membrane with a soft fabric dust cap. The stiff aluminum cone allows the woofer to move as much air a possible even at mid-range frequencies, and the combination of aluminum and fabric works to lower surface resonances, retaining detail and clarity.

By using two DALI KATCH G2 units, it is possible to form a wireless dedicated left/right stereo pair using Bluetooth™ between the units and as the source input. The connection uses one DALI KATCH G2 as the primary and the other DALI KATCH G2 as a secondary unit. The true wireless stereo mode has several advantages: Besides adding true stereo imaging, the extra drivers working together will deliver a significantly higher undistorted sound pressure and even improve the bass quality and extension. Perfect for when the party spreads from the living room to the kitchen!
